There are three major purposes and motives of synergy and collaboration – market-seeking motives, resource or asset-seeking motives, and efficiency-seeking motives. To begin with, market-seeking motives are pursued by Dongfeng Motor Co. that will have a possibility to access new markets, follow key clients, and take a competitive advantage over a number of local producers.
