Water Fasting Versus Juice Fasting The human body is a complex machine that requires energy every minute of the life span, from the moment of conception to death. In this paper we analyze juice fasting as the preferred alternative to water fasting and argue that juice fasting causes better results than water fasting. As we have mentioned earlier in the paper, supermarket juice contains too much acid and, therefore, it won’t help one to reduce the levels of toxins in the body. Most experts agree that the best choices of juice fasting are celery, carrot, kale, cabbage, apple, pineapple, cranberry, spinach, beet, and greens. Citrus fruits should not be take for the juice fasting. Atthe same time, the importance of water should not be underestimated because water alone is able to flush out toxic substances. Hence many experts advise to drink plenty of water even during the juice fasting process. One may call this type of diet a water-juice (that is a combination of the two) fasting, however, the type of diet is determined by the predominant ingredient consumed in the process and it can’t be limited to one substance (water or juice) only. It is also very useful to consume organic fruits and vegetables. If one cannot find organic products, the person should peel the skin off fruits and vegetables or wash vegetables with a non-toxic produce cleaner, typically available at health food stores.
